Can someone clarify what the situation really is?Regarding license, Office 2016 acts and is exactly as any other software installed on your computer. From what I have read, it seems that the one product key per machine (for several users) installation is not supported any more in Office 2016. I have found a lot of confusing information in various forums on the activation of Office 2016. I own only 1 PC, but rebuild periodically.

I need confirmation as to whether this product can be transferred to any PC I might build in the future. It apparently requires a "Microsoft account", but there is no subscription. If you read the reviews at Amazon, you'll see some confusion about whether or not this particular license is transferable to another PC in the future, as long as it's confined to just one PC at a time.
You might have to buy 3 copies in your situation. That's all I would need, but I'm not sure there is a 3 user equivalent. It apparently is good for only 1 user, not 3. You pay, get a Product Key sent by email download, and install. Here's the nearest thing I could find that is NOT subscription based. I bought a 3 user license only because it was all I could find at the time that could be moved to new PCs in the future and did not involve a subscription. Fully transferable in the future to new computers as long as you don't have it installed on more than 3 PCs at any one time. I think I have the same Office 2010 that you have: 1 key, good for 3 users. I'm interested in this as well and investigated a week ago.
